Anche in questo caso, per le linee guida generali bisogna tenere conto quelle che ho dato nel post sul fisico a clessidra Fisico a Clessidra – Hourglass Body Shape e semplicemente aggiungere alcune dritte.
Le donne clessidra plus size, mantengono le loro curve armoniose a prescindere dai kg che si portano appresso, avranno quindi sempre un seno abbondante, un punto vita ben definito e un bacino pieno.
Il peso in eccesso si distribuisce prevalentemente su seno e fianchi/interno coscia, la pancia può aumentare ma anche qui il grasso è distribuito su tutta la superficie (ricordate che invece le donne triangolo hanno la pancia tutta in zona centrale, per via di fasce addominali laterali naturalmente “allenate”).
Viso, braccia e stinchi invece rimangono magri e asciutti.
Quali consigli dare a chi si ritrova queste curve fatali?
Intanto mi sento di aprire un capitolo che ripeterò anche nei prossimi articoli, per aprirvi gli occhi e non farvi guidare MALE dai trend. Basta con quest’idea che il sovrappeso va coperto quanto più possibile. Non è così e anzi, usando mutande culotte a vita alta ad esempio nel caso del bikini, non fareste altro che allargarvi ancora di più e come se non bastasse si creerebbero dei rotolini in vita, verrebbe fuori una pancia più grossa di quello che effettivamente è (soprattutto grazie alle rouches che mettono proprio in quella zona per “camuffare”) e tirerebbe fuori i rotolini addirittura ad altezza cosce e dietro la schiena. Quindi vi invito a dire BASTA a questo stigma che vuole le donne plus size a tutti i costi costrette in metri e metri di stoffa. Quello che va indossato è ciò che vi dona e in questo caso non sono i costumi da bagno stile anni 20, ma quasi l’esatto contrario. Quindi lasciate i dubbi e la vergogna da parte e fidatevi di me che a voi ci tengo davvero, date fuoco ai mutandoni della nonna e tirate fuori slip con il taglio classico regolare e addirittura vi consiglio la brasiliana che è più sgambata, slanciando così di più le vostre gambe e rendendole più snelle e lunghe e perché sul retro, la brasiliana rende più tondo e sodo qualunque sedere e voi ne avete già uno che merita attenzione, perché oscurarlo?
Dato che ho iniziato a parlare di costumi, tanto vale che finisca questo capitolo prima di passare ad altro.
Per quanto concerne i costumi interi, prediligete quelli con lo scollo a cuore (che sta bene solo a voi in pratica), scollo a V profondo, monospalla, con le spalline classiche, a fascia o all’americana, con decori e tagli laser in zona vita, per accentuarla grazie ad un effetto ottico che i decori giocano proprio in quella zona, con il punto vita asimmetrico (vedi costume bianco con fiocco sul lato) e come ho già detto, con lo slip classico o a brasiliana.

Veniamo ora agli abiti, dove la scelta è comunque piuttosto ampia. Consigliatissimi quelli con lo scollo a cuore, a barca, con entrambe le spalle scoperte, con scollo incrociato con vita asimmetrica a portafoglio, strutturati, vestiti maxi shirt, abiti con collo alto e fiocco, con scollo dritto (stile grembiule), con gonne a campana, con punto vita regolare, coulisse basse. Da evitare possibilmente i vestiti in stile impero perché non donano alle clessidre di nessun peso forma, banditi tutti i vestiti con l’elastico a vita alta e quelli con l’elastico a vita bassa.

Per quanto riguarda i top vanno bene le stesse dritte suggerite per gli abiti per quanto riguarda gli scolli, per quanto riguarda invece il taglio assicuratevi ove possibile di mettere le maglie dentro ai pantaloni/gonne e di sblusarle leggermente fuori, per camuffare eventuale pancetta. In questo caso mi sento di consigliare anche i top con il taglio “peplo”, ossia quei top con quella sorta di largo volant appena sotto il punto vita, altro aiuto per camuffare la pancetta.

Passiamo un attimo al mondo dei cappotti, giacche e affini…cosa peggiora questo tipo di fisico e cosa lo delinea come merita?
I cappotti e le giacche doppiopetto sono le più indicate ma bisogna stare attente che siano sciancrate in vita e che non scendano dritte o l’effetto sarà quello di infagottarvi ancora di più, neanche se sono doppiopetto, non vi fidate e diffidate anche di tutte quelle mantelle e mantelline col bottone sul lato o con i bottoni alti, l’unico effetto che otterreste sarebbe quello di allargarvi ancora di più, nascondendo tutte le vostre curve. Optate per un cappotto doppiopetto con la vita sciancrata o con almeno la cintura per creare un punto vita.

Per finire, gonne e pantaloni.
Per le gonne si possono osare tutte le lunghezze purché i modelli siano svasati, e abbiano decorazioni che non vadano ad allargare i fianchi (vedi le frange che vanno verso il centro e non al contrario dal centro verso i fianchi), nel caso delle pencil skirt assicuratevi che la vita sia alta e se possibile preferite quelle con dei patterns molto accentuati o con effetti tipo pelle di coccodrillo come questa nera in foto, per camuffare ulteriormente eventuale pancetta. Pantaloni e jeans invece sceglieteli con la gamba dritta a sigaretta o con la gamba dritta asciutta (regular slim), con la vita alta, sempre. Se alcuni dei modelli in foto vi sembrano vestire male è perché ahimè nel fare i cataloghi non sono state selezionate modelle con il tipo di fisico adatto, ma ciò che qui vi sembrano difetti, nel vostro caso non ci sarebbero perché andreste a riempire i vuoti qui presenti.

I recommend again to follow the guidelines I gave you in the previous post about this kind of body here Fisico a Clessidra – Hourglass Body Shape and now let’s add a few tips for the full hourglass body type.
Full hourglass women preserve their amazing curves despite the weight (aren’t they lucky?) so they will still have abundant breast, a neat waist and a full pelvis area.
Extra weight is proportionally distributed on breast and hips/inner thight, belly can be wide but the fat is in the entire area so it looks flattened anyway (do you remember the previous post about triangle plus size women? in their case, the naturally strong abdomen muscles push the fat all in the centre).
Face, arms and shins are slimmer.
So what kind of advice I can give to those women with these fatal curves?
First of all I feel the need to talk about something I will repeat in the next posts, something that I hope will open your eyes and make you realize you’re following the WRONG path about plus size trends. Enough with this idea that extra weight has to be entirely covered. It’s not true and actually, using garments like for example high waist control briefs (both for lingerie and beachwear) won’t make you look skinnier but the actual result it’s the opposite, you will look even larger and as this is not annoying enough, you will also gain extra rolls on your waist, on your thights and even on your back; and what about those rouches they put to “camouflage” your belly? Those are actual highlighters that make you belly bigger and rounded. I say ENOUGH with this stigma that pretends plus size women to wrap themselves in kilometers of fabric. You should wear what best suits your body which is not 20s inspired bathingsuits. So put your doubts and shame aside and trust me, because I really want your best, burn all the granny panties you have and start wearing classic panties and even better brazilian panties, because this kind of panties will make your legs look longer and skinnier and because – especially the brazilian ones – make every butt round and toned and you already own a great bottom so why cover it? show it!
Since I ended up talking about beachwear let’s close this chapter.
As for swimsuits, choose those with an heart shaped neckline, deep V and halter necklines, one-shoulder, with classic straps or even go strapless; with some decoration or laser cut on the waistline to emphasize it, with the asymmetrical waist (see the white swimsuit with the bow aside) and as I already said, for the bottom go classic or go brazilian.

Dresses have a wide range of lines for you to choose. Heart shaped necklines dresses are the best choice, but also wide scoop tops are fine, trapless, criss crossed wrap dresses with asymmetrical waistline are great, slip dresses, structured sheat dresses, maxi shirt, apron and turtle-bow neckline dresses are good as well; round, pencil, pegged, slit lines are the best pick for the bottom with a regular waist line and some coulisse at the bottom. Avoid empire dress , those with an high/low elastic waistline because they are the worst to fit your bodyshape.

What about tops? Follow the same guidelines I gave you for dresses as for the necklines, for the bottom hem instead, remember to french tuck your tops in your jeans/skirts and to puff it a bit, this trick is the best to camouflage belly rolls.
I feel to also suggest “peplum” tops because you have enough chest to properly wear it in order to fit straight and cover that belly roll.

Let’s take a ride into the coats and jackets world to find out what enhance and what don’t full hourglass bodies.
Both coat and jacket has to be waisted, not straight, and doublebreasted, otherwise you would look goofy. Don’t trust a coat just for being doublebreasted, look for the waist, it must be very well defined. Of course avoid ponchos and capes, especially the one button up right because they would make your figure rounder and puffier. The best model is doublebreasted, waisted and comes with a belt too.

Last but no least, skirts, trousers and jeans.
You can pick every skirt’s lenght as the model is one of these: A-line, pegged, slit, bias cut, godet and pencil. If you like decorations be aware these are going to enchance your curves and not to enlarge them; for example look at the skirt with fringes, they start from the skirt’s sides to end up in the centre and not the opposite. Be sure your pencil skirts are highwaisted and possibly with some particular pattern as for the example the black one in the picture with this crocodile effect, because is another camouflage trick. Trousers and jeans instead should have always straight or regular slim legs and high waist.
Now, I know some of the jeans in the picture I posted don’t look this good but the fault isn’t the jeans but those who put a model with the wrong body shape for these jeans. I can assure you that on you will fit them faultlessly.
