Column Body Shape

If your body’s shape is a column, then you have neat regular shoulders, small breasts, narrow but straight waistline, narrow hips, small buttocks.

The goal here is to emphasize your curves, all of them: your chest, your waistline and your hips. You can then wear a lot of cute and eccentric things:  all kind of voluminous sleeves,  rouches, turtlenecks, statement decorations and patterns, basically everything that adds volume. Avoid dresses with straight and stiff lines. You can also consider layer dressing and those 20s style dresses as well with a lower than usual waistline.

Rember to stay short with heels because the higher the heel, the skinnier you will look. Prefer instead shorter kind of heels like kitten heels or just flat shoes (even wedges as long as the wedge is a flat one). With bras you’re just given two options: the simplest models or the padded and push-up ones.

Skirt shouldn’t go lower than your knees; if you like long skirts prefer pleated models or consider a deep slit.
As for jeans opt for skinny models, especially the wornout ones. Another jeans suggestion goes for bootcut jeans that makes your legs look a bit more “fatter” and they come with tiny rear pockets that make your buttocks look fuller and rounder. For a baggy effect I recommend boyfriend jeans. Avoid instead regular legs jeans and high waisted jeans because they would fit you awfully, particularly in the hips area. Trust me.
About trousers my advices are the same, so go for flared, soft fabrics pants or “sigaretta” legged pants. An important consideration here is to balance your top volume to your bottom clothes volume so if you’re going baggy with the top, just follow with baggy pants/jeans.

The most recommended pattern is horizontal stripes because they “enlarge” and you can benefit from that.
